The TruFlat® Natural Series is a craft plywood line featuring real hardwood veneers on an EcoGold MDF core. It was developed in response to customer demand for a TruFlat® plywood with a natural wood grain appearance suited to finished products and higher-end projects.
The Natural Series complements the existing TruFlat® lineup. Both lines share TruFlat®’s core performance characteristics:

Yes. Both lines are built on TruFlat® performance, meaning they are 100% flat and
engineered for consistent results.
The Natural Series uses an EcoGold MDF core with a no-added-formaldehyde (NAF) formulation, which better complements its real hardwood veneer faces. It creates a more natural material option while maintaining the flat, consistent performance TruFlat® is known for.
If consistency, cost, and production volume are your priorities, the standard TruFlat® line is the right choice. If your project calls for a premium, natural wood grain appearance like high-end signage or finished goods the Natural Series is the better fit.
Yes. Like the standard line, Natural Series panels arrive prefinished and ready to use no additional finishing required before cutting or engraving.
The higher price reflects the use of real hardwood veneer and Ecogold MDF core. It’s a premium material intended for premium applications where the look of natural wood justifies the investment.
Some customers may have issues cleaning the char edge marks. We suggest to clean with a micro fiber cloth and warm soapy water or LA’s Totally Awesome cleaner. We do not recommend using harsh chemicals.

"I ordered 3 sheets of 3 colors of the TruFlat Laser Wood to test. The prototype output, a tiny bookshelf, was great. The pieces cut uniformly and resembled stained wood. The chared edge contrast really highlighted the veneer. . I cleaned them with LA Awesome, then rinsed/wiped them twice with clear water to remove the char coating from the surfaces and edges. After sitting for about 2-3 days, the smell of the char was completly gone."
